B5/IB5 = 2.3L. Service Manual is more precise with a spec of "1.67L" on the B6, and adds 8.6% more fluid for the B5/IB5 at "2.3L". However, this is not the controversy. Can anyone please tell me how many litres are needed and is it better to a better oil it for the track? Any help much appreciated. Thanks.

On a manual tranny, you check the fluid by pulling the fill plug on the side of the transmission. The fluid is supposed to be even with the bottom of the fill plug hole. Gently stuck your finger in there and on a fully serviced trans. you will feel the fluid on your finger tip.
